Hayward Youth Academy (HYA) provides middle school youth and 1st generation college bound student an annual college tour. We build community relationships partnering with other not for profit; public benefit corporations, Rotarians, business interest, educators, community advocates, youth teams, grantors, colleges and universities. 

We are in our 11th year of operation, serving the San Francisco Bay Area. (EIN 06-175-0046)

Novato Chess Club (NCC) supports the well-being of children and families in Marin County. We impact the lives of youth and families through our after school enrichment programs 1) youth chess, 2) public speaking, and 3) leadership development. 

NCC serves as a community resource for youth, ages 8 thru 16 in Marin County. (EIN 46-538-1938)

HYA / NCC create inspiring, and self motivating academic enrichment programs for student learners in the San Francisco Bay Area. HYA’s annual college outreach program at Saint Mary’s College of California “Inspire Wonder” in youth. Hard work, effort, and self motivation are the mothers milk of all success.

Objectives:

provide safe, supervised, structured quality after school enrichment programming

enhance structured academic learning between 2-6pm

help curtail the number of students who drop out of school

prevent delinquency and reduce crimes in local community by juveniles

inspire youth on their road to college

improve academic school performance, school conduct, behavior and attendance

Our History…

HYA have developed partnerships with Saint Mary’s College of California, Sonoma State, Cal State East Bay, Chabot College, University of San Francisco, and Dominican University of California.

HYA College Outreach Program provides first generation college bound youth information on college admission policies, financial programs, a college tour, pre-game meal, and a college sporting event. With the assistance of our generous corporate sponsors, 4100 students have visited a college campus since 2007. 

NCC have operated chess enrichment at San Jose Middle School, Lynwood Elementary, Pleasant Valley Elementary (Novato). We are expanding operation in Marin County for the 2016 academic calendar.
